I signed up for services with ReferPro after speaking with a sales representative who indicated that I could cancel if the service did not produce results. Based on that understanding, I moved forward. It later became clear that the agreement was actually a one-year contract with no early cancellation option. While I take responsibility for not catching that detail in writing, the expectations set during the sales process did not align with the contract terms. We have been paying $400 per month and have not received a single measurable referral attributable to this service. The only performance metric we have been shown reflects 128 clicks. However, there is no visibility into what those clicks led to — no conversion tracking, no verified engagement reporting, and no revenue attribution tied to those interactions. The platform shows a total of five engagements. Three are listed as referrals/leads. However, we have not been able to reach or verify meaningful engagement with the individuals listed. The remaining two engagements were simply existing customers replying to what they believed was our normal business communication channel. When I raised concerns about the lack of measurable results and questioned whether our contact list was sufficient for this type of campaign, the response ultimately pointed back to the one-year contract. There was no structured performance review or corrective plan discussed. Additionally, when I contacted support, I was told our account had not completed "success onboarding." This was the first time we had heard of such a requirement. Once billing began, no success coach proactively reached out to review performance, track results, or provide documented coaching — either before or after we raised concerns. We have no email records reflecting ongoing onboarding or performance guidance. I called to cancel approximately one month ago and was informed that cancellation would not take effect until July due to the contract term. At this point, we are simply completing the remaining months. For transparency, our business is Winds of Valley Heating and Cooling. They have our information on file if they wish to contact us directly to address these concerns. Anyone considering this service should carefully review cancellation terms, onboarding requirements, and performance expectations in writing before signing.
My experience with ReferPro has been very disappointing. The sales process was extremely pushy, and I was encouraged to sign on the spot without being given clear information about key details like USD billing, extra per-gift fees, and the manual steps required to use the platform. Once onboarding began, it became obvious the service wasn't a good fit for our business. We never used the service or launched a single campaign, yet ReferPro refused to cancel the contract. Communication was slow throughout the process, and an additional payment was even processed after I had formally requested cancellation. For a company that claims to support small businesses, the rigid contract terms, lack of transparency, and unwillingness to act professionally were very disappointing. I recommend other business owners read every line of the fine print and proceed with caution. Edit 2026-01-30 Since posting this review, a referral campaign was sent without my consent, and one of my existing clients was contacted, resulting in an actual referral. This happened despite my repeated written requests to cancel the service and not proceed with any campaigns. This is completely unacceptable. At no point did I authorize the campaign to go live, and communication from ReferPro has remained slow and unresponsive when raising this issue. This experience has reinforced my original concerns around professionalism, transparency, and respect for client businesses. I strongly advise other business owners to fully complete onboarding and understand every operational detail before signing, as important information is only revealed after the contract is already locked in. Proceed with extreme caution.
I hate to write this review, this is my second one star review for this company. However the only way to get in contact with someone with the company is to leave a bad review in hopes they will reach out to resolve and issue. I signed my company up in April of 2025 (after a pretty pushy sales process) thinking it would be a productive way to bring referral type of business in. However we missed our onboarding call- thinking no sweat we tried to set another appointment and get it back on track this week. I was unable to ever hear back from their onboarding specialist. Time went and we lost track at the end of our three month contract we asked for our contract to be ended. We paid our $900 contract thinking we fulfilled our obligation. But was un able to get ahold of anyone until august, only because we left our first 1 star review. Only then we had Howell reach out and he explained to me that they had some bad hires at the time and we fell through the cracks. Upon talking with Howell we explained that we would consider using the software but we wanted a refund of our $1500 then we could pick back up with and talk about onboarding. Howell and I had a very signifiant misunderstanding and his "refund" was just giving us 3 months for free to offset the services we had never originally received then continued to charge our card they had on file 12/1/2025. I emailed and called trying to again resolve this issue and am forced into leaving a review in hopes someone will reach out and we do not need to contact a lawyer and go that route.
I signed up and was ready for this service to start but was never given an onboarding. I realized I was charged multiple times for services that were never provided. Despite contacting the company repeatedly and being told my account was canceled, I was charged again after cancellation. I never received a refund directly from the company. The only way I recovered my money was by disputing the charges through my credit card company. I attempted to escalate further through the Better Business Bureau and discovered the company is not registered. Based on my experience, billing and account cancellation processes are unreliable. I would not recommend this service.
Do not waste your money on Refer Pro. This has been, without question, one of the worst experiences I've had with a service company. Their customer service is extremely poor, and there is a complete lack of support. Over the course of an entire year, there was virtually no help or guidance provided. I may have spoken with one person who acknowledged they had made bad hires and had the wrong people in place, but even then, nothing meaningful ever changed. The most frustrating part was being automatically renewed for another year without any clear notice. When I tried to cancel, it was obvious they simply did not care. There was no effort to resolve the situation or take responsibility. Overall, this company does not prioritize its clients at all. Based on my experience, I would never trust them and would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. If you're reading reviews trying to decide, take this seriously—you do not want to use this service.
Editing my review after actually having the service. The service provided almost no value to my company. Which otherwise, wouldn't have been a problem, we go our separate ways. But now they're threatening me with collections because I want to cancel. They put me in a 12 month contract, which I explicitly said I wouldn't sign up with a 12 month contract. They said, "oh well if you aren't happy we will let you out of the contract". Well, that was a lie, a they conveniently lost the recording of them saying that in the zoom meeting. Anyone who has a service that's business facing, if it's worthwhile, doesn't require a contract if they're with having. That was my mistake. I should have never signed. But I also should have never believed them when they said they would let me out of the contract if I wasn't seeing results.
THE. WORST. REFERRAL. MANAGEMENT. COMPANY EVER!!! To any future potential client seeking to do business with Refer Pro please save your time, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!!! Refer Pro has a very HELD HOSTAGE cancellation policy for any of their services. I contacted Refer Pro stating I no longer am interested to continue my relationship with them and they they stipulated I am on a contract where I had to wait and pay an additional $295.00 for 3 more months. I agreed and told them to cancel my services once that date came and they confirmed to do so verbally over the phone. I waited their 90 days which was their 3 months total as I was told and I called them back stating I waited these 3 months to make sure my services were successfully canceled now since I seen another charge from them when I should have been cancelled already and then they had the actual AUDACITY to say I never put in a 30 day request from the last time I called!!! To define PETTY, it just so happened to be I called in "1 day late" instead of them counting the complete 30 day cycle as actually 30 days since I called on the 29th day so I was charged an additional $295.00 for 2 more months after already waiting and already paying $295.00 for 3 months prior!!! I walked away paying an additional total of $295.00 for 5 months for unused services! That is an additional $1,475.00 just to cancel services with Refer Pro!!! To add a cherry on top, being a plumbing company in the home service industry, I attended a nationwide in person event and saw their vendor booth located with the same sales representative Preston that wasted my money signing up for this and I addressed my concern to his manager where his manager promised to contact me and "make things right" but they never contacted me! These people do not care about you, your business, but care to just scam you... IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SPEND AN ADDITIONAL $1,475.00 TO CANCEL YOUR SERVICES, RUN AWAY!!!:)
We entered into a one-year contract with Refer Pro after being heavily pressured by their salesman. From the very beginning, we explained that we were a brand-new business and not in the best position to take this on yet. Despite our hesitation, the salesman was extremely pushy and guaranteed us that we would not be left to fail. He promised that our account would be actively monitored, that someone from their team would be in regular contact, and that if we weren't seeing good results they would reach out and help us adjust. In reality, none of those assurances were upheld. Over the six months we have been paying for this service, not once has anyone from their company proactively contacted us. Every single time, I have had to be the one reaching out, and even then, responses were slow and unhelpful. Basic items like our badges, which should have been simple, took months to receive. At no point did we feel supported or that anyone was "watching our account" as promised. When I finally voiced my concerns, I explained that we felt they had not held up their end of the agreement. Since we had already paid for six months of the year, I asked if we could consider it even—50/50—and walk away. They refused, saying the contract is binding regardless of the lack of performance. As a small, family-owned company, we entered this in good faith and with trust in the promises that were made to us. Unfortunately, our experience has been one of unfulfilled commitments, lack of accountability, and very poor customer support. It has been extremely disappointing, and I cannot in good conscience recommend Refer Pro to other businesses.
Also so everyone knows… they ask you to write a review BEFORE you use the system/service.. I was asked on the phone my 2nd call. Had a death in my family and my business SHUT DOWN and they refused to let me even pause my account, then sent me to collections after my payment didn't go through, even though my business account was shut down. Never even got a chance to use the service at all, and asked to cancel immediately and was told absolutely not.
Customer service is really bad, and if the software doesn't work for your business you are stuck in the contract. Consider wisely. I'd personally not recommend it for any business as the software is not very comprehensive especially for the price.
Service was not helpful. Company does not let you cancel. They make you sign an agreement that they say binds you for a year. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE find another company to use. oh btw its over $400 a month...
We were charged for 6 months for a service that was never provided. Stay away from this company.
