Pressure TacticsNew Business ExploitedBroken Promises
We entered into a one-year contract with Refer Pro after being heavily pressured by their salesman. From the very beginning, we explained that we were a brand-new business and not in the best position to take this on yet. Despite our hesitation, the salesman was extremely pushy and guaranteed us that we would not be left to fail. He promised that our account would be actively monitored, that someone from their team would be in regular contact, and that if we weren't seeing good results they would reach out and help us adjust.
In reality, none of those assurances were upheld. Over the six months we have been paying for this service, not once has anyone from their company proactively contacted us. Every single time, I have had to be the one reaching out, and even then, responses were slow and unhelpful. Basic items like our badges, which should have been simple, took months to receive. At no point did we feel supported or that anyone was "watching our account" as promised.
When I finally voiced my concerns, I explained that we felt they had not held up their end of the agreement. Since we had already paid for six months of the year, I asked if we could consider it even—50/50—and walk away. They refused, saying the contract is binding regardless of the lack of performance.
As a small, family-owned company, we entered this in good faith and with trust in the promises that were made to us. Unfortunately, our experience has been one of unfulfilled commitments, lack of accountability, and very poor customer support. It has been extremely disappointing, and I cannot in good conscience recommend Refer Pro to other businesses.
